THE CENTRE
Over the past
20 years, the main focus of the Centre has been to support the
health and well being of the community through offering a full
range of courses and classes in yoga exercises, relaxation, stress
management and meditation. Many yoga students in the Hunter have
continued to improve mentally, physically and emotionally, drawing
on the beneficial effects of yoga.
Handed down
from generation to generation, the ancient Science of Yoga has
evolved over centuries. It is the path of balancing the mental,
physical and subtle energies allowing greater awareness of the
inner realms and transcending the intellect through self-inquiry.
Many brilliant and enlightened minds have contributed, refined
and essentialised it, making yoga suitable for everyone who wishes
to improve. It is particularly useful for us in these modern times.
Professionals,
teenagers, the elderly, management executives and householders,
men and women, politicians and students, all have found great
benefit by practising yoga.
The Centre
conducts courses and classes
that cater for general appeal and also for individual needs. Lessons
are held mainly at our premises but also at other venues as required.
Courses
are conducted at the Centre on a 10 week term basis.
